learning and living together.
A school is a place for everyone.
This is my definition of ‘inclusive education’. A simple definition, perhaps, but surprisingly complex in practice. It is also surprising how many disagree with this statement; yet, they do. All around the world, schools are not welcoming places to all children and young adults. Many do not experience a sense of belonging and participation – let alone, growing and learning. To that end, many feel the same exclusion and marginalisation in society.
This website is devoted to sharing my work to reduce exclusion and marginalisation in schools and society. There are many friends, colleagues, partners, and collaborators right along side me, and they have a place on this site as well. –– Matthew J. Schuelka, PhD
